What's the Cairo air dryness?Anyone who witnessed summer winds from the desert himself?

I consider going there,but...Some sources claim that the air in Cairo is real real dry & injures the lungs this way during summer months.Is this true & to which a degree?Anyone to share his/her other impressions about the city after a visit there?Thanks
