Applying the uncertainty principle..?
A He atom in an excited state of 1.95 eV decays to the ground state. If the lifetime of the excited state is 1.0x10^-12 s, then what is the uncertainty in the photon's energy? What is the spectral width of the emitted line (ie. the range of possible wavelengths)?
