DirectX Learning Guide?

Hello everybody, im a keen programmer and i know VB and bits of other languages, i want to get to grips with DirectX (Or simalar 3D graphics) for visual basic, i have the capability to learn, im just looking for a good place to start, it doesnt have tobbe within VB aslong as its not C or c++, i just cba to learn them hahaa :D
